Our Client is a highly successful subsidiary of a global, privately-owned manufacturing group.

With very little competition in their specialist they hold significant market share and supply some significant global brands.

With substantial capital investment in their manufacturing operations they are ready to embrace an anticipated and rampant period of growth, including further overseas expansion. Furthermore growth and development is planned both organically and via acquisition.

The opportunity

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and talented hands-on Finance Director to join the leadership team.

The Finance Director will be working in collaboration with the Director group to formulate and deliver innovative strategies that enhance group profitability and create long-term shareholder value.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the candidate will be a detailed orientated, hands on Finance Director, responsible for driving the management and leadership. Full responsibility for all aspects of Financial Governance Strategy, to optimise the Company’s financial performance and strategic position as well as taking overall control of the Company’s accounting function and company IT requirements.

The Finance Director will contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers. Providing leadership and direction to the finance team, to ensure efficiencies within the full value chain, supporting all objectives.

The candidate

The successful candidate will possess a strong manufacturing background and possess the flexibility and resilience to thrive in an innovative, entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.

The candidate will need to be capable of being hands-on with a detail orientated approach.

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification or recognised professional accountancy equivalent
  • Meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels

    • Experience:

  • Discrete financial background with at least 5 years in a senior management, Director, role with experience of hands-on operational delivery and budgetary responsibility from within a faced paced manufacturing environment

    • Capabilities & Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels
  • Strong IT skills, always being ahead of new technologies
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making
