An established and successful business in the area.

The company operates worldwide with the head office based in South Wales. 

You will be joining a dynamic finance team that works collaboratively with all departments of the group.

The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Finance Business Partner to work closely with the commercial functions and finance team to provide insightful analysis and drive commercial improvement.

The Finance Business Partner will play a key role in supporting the commercial team through the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, planning, analysis and decision support. The role is responsible for providing timely and insightful monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, supporting the budgeting and reforecasting process, resolving pricing queries, and delivering commercial analysis to improve business performance.

Main Duties

Commercial Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for the commercial team.
  • Produce regular analysis of sales, margin, pricing, volume and performance against budget and forecast.
  • Develop and maintain reporting packs, dashboards, and KPI analysis to support commercial decision-making.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through clear financial and operational analysis.
  • Support the continuous improvement and automation of reporting processes where possible.

Budgeting and Reforecasting

  • Lead or support quarterly revenue reforecasting cycles, ensuring assumptions are robust, well understood and aligned with business expectations.
  • Work closely with budget holders and the commercial team to challenge assumptions and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Provide variance analysis on actual performance against budget/forecast, with clear commentary and actions.

Commercial Analysis and Business Partnering

  • Act as a finance point of contact for pricing queries from the commercial team.
  • Act as a link between Finance and other operational and commercial areas of the business to provide periodic reporting, support operational decision making and identify areas for improvement.

Process Improvement and Governance

  • Support the development of consistent planning, reporting, and analysis processes.
  • Improve the quality, accessibility, and usefulness of financial information for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ensure reporting and analysis are completed in line with internal controls, financial policies, and deadlines.
  • Contribute to wider finance and cross-functional projects as required.

About You:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner, commercial finance, FP&A or similar analytical finance role.
  • Strong experience of monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Experience supporting commercial teams with financial insight and performance analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear conclusions.
  • Experience handling pricing analysis, margin review and commercial decision support.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
