Head of Finance

Our Client:

Reporting directly into the CFO, the Head of Finance will take ownership of the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, provide detailed performance reporting to the Board and ensure that the organisation meets its’ statutory and regulatory requirements.

The Role:

• To maintain a strong financial control environment and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and other regulatory bodies.
• To establish and manage appropriate procedures to ensure the production of accurate, compliant and timely completion of monthly accounts and year-end financial accounts.
• To produce the written commentaries and reports for the Board and sub-committees.
• Responsible for implementing any requirements or changes to accounting standards or regulatory requirements and to advise the senior leadership team on associated impact to the organisation.
• To work closely with and provide support to the finance team and oversee the delivery of regular budget reports to budget holders.
• Maintaining a rolling 12-month rolling cash flow forecast and monitor compliance with Banking Covenants.
• Manage the annual budget and 5-year forecasting process.
• Providing support to budget-holders and the Finance Business Analyst with the annual budgeting process.
• Consolidating departmental budgets and provide detailed analysis and performance reporting for inclusion in the monthly board report.
• Supporting the CFO and finance team in the production of ad-hoc financial strategy and planning work.

About You:

• Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA with significant post-qualification experience gained in leadership roles.
• Experience of financial regulations, governance, audit and regulatory risk frameworks.
• An experienced team leader with a track record of recruiting, developing and motivating teams to deliver an excellent and efficient financial service.
• An excellent communicator, influencer, team worker and relationship builder.
• Proven track record in leading and delivering robust annual budgeting and business planning processes.
