Interim Finance Manager - Projects

Our Client:

Our client is seeking a confident, outgoing finance professional experienced in process improvement and standards compliance, comfortable working independently on a defined project and able to hit the ground running. 

The Role:

• Review and evaluate existing finance processes and systems, identifying inefficiencies, duplication and provide overview of current-state with recommendations for DOF (Director of Finance).
• Document and write up key SOP’s for core finance processes in assistance with Finance controller and Financial Accountant. 
• Lead a full accounting standards compliance review, with reference to the Group's investment model and reporting requirements, documenting gaps and recommendations.
• Cross-check revenue recognition with FC and FBP to confirm treatment is correct and standards-compliant.
• Build and maintain payroll vs budget reporting. Review Payroll authorisation and journal posting and suggest recommendations for automation and improvement.
• Own facilities and lease reporting, includes migration of operating leases onto the Balance Sheet under IFRS 16.
• Review bad and aged debt reporting (collection activity owned by customer care) and provide recommendations for improvement and key KPI drivers for board and SLT reporting.

• Qualified Accountant.
• Strong business process improvement skills.
• Strong technical ability - Financial Accounting and IFRS experience.
• Process documentation skills.
• Experience of working within change and transformation environments.
