Our Client:

Head4Talent are currently working exclusively with a leading and fast-growing business based in the centre of Cardiff. Due to recent expansion due to acquisitions, they are seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to focus on AP, AR, Payroll, Cashbook and Fixed Assets and managing a team of three.

The Role:

Duties 

  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of 3, including AP&AR Assistant, Payroll Manager and Cashbook Clerk.
  • Embedding Processes: Establish and embed robust financial processes and systems to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • External Stakeholder Management: Build and develop relationships with key suppliers, customers and service providers.
  • Internal Stakeholder Management: Build and manage relationships with the FBPs, collaborating on monthly reporting and project work, FP&A function, through reporting on trends, one-off items and Operational Teams.
  • Manage Monthly Reporting: Contributing to the timely, accurate reporting of various elements of financial reporting to the group through management and maintenance of AR & AP Ledgers, Balance Sheet reconciliations and accurate & timely processing of information.
  • Accounts Payable: Management and production of AP Ledgers, reconciled on a monthly basis.
  • Management & review of fortnightly payment run for group.
  • Regular supplier statement reconciliations, including key suppliers.
  • Accounts Receivable: Work with Procurement to produce Rebate invoices on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Management and production of AR Ledgers, reconciled on a monthly basis. Chasing debtors regularly.
  • Payroll: Review of monthly payroll postings and payment files, investigation of budget/forecast vs actual variances across staff costs lines.
  • Preparation of balance sheet recs for staff costs payable GL codes.
  • Cashbook: Working in collaboration with the team to produce bank reconciliations on a daily basis.
  • Fixed Assets: Manage fixed assets, including acquisitions and disposals. Prepare and post depreciation journals.
  • Track and record capital expenditure invoices.
  • Ensure the fixed asset register is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Verify financial data and transactions.

About You:

Experience required

  • ACCA, CIMA or similar minimum part qualified: Essential.
  • Business Central or Similar ERP Knowledge: Desirable.
  • Excel Skills: Intermediate level essential.

Degree Finance related: Desirable
