Interim Finance Director

Our Client:

Our client is a fast-growth SME in the service sector with a portfolio of business. They are now seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to harmonise reporting across the businesses and establish group reporting packs and MI as they position themselves for further growth.

The immediate focus will be establishing reliable month-end reporting, strengthening financial controls and processes, and developing a robust board reporting pack.

The Role:

• Take ownership of finance across the group and associated entities
• Establish accurate and reliable month-end reporting for each business.
• Build and maintain a monthly group board reporting pack.
• Improve financial controls, processes and reporting discipline.
• Provide clear visibility of performance, cash flow, profitability and working capital.
• Support directors with commercial insight and financial decision-making.
• Liaise with external advisors where required.

About You:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a Finance Director, Interim FD or senior Financial Control role.
• Strong SME finance background.
• Experience improving month-end processes, implementing and streamlining reporting and board packs.
• Ability to work across multiple entities to standardise reporting processes and timelines.
• Strong controls, forecasting, cash flow and reporting expertise.
• Commercial judgement and confidence partnering with owners/directors.
