Business Planning Analyst

Our Client:

A growing commercial business seeking to strengthen its strategic planning and delivery activities.

The Role:

The successful candidate will bring financial analysis, commercial challenge and technical understanding to the strategic growth plans of the business, working closely with senior stakeholders to evaluate and model opportunities, support strategic initiatives and provide insight into the financial treatment and drivers of performance.

• Support the assessment of business opportunities by analysing financial implications, key assumptions, potential risks and expected benefits. 
• Maintain and improve financial models and analysis to support forward-looking planning and decision-making. 
• Review business performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and translate findings into practical insights and recommendations.
• Support longer-term planning, budgeting and forecasting activity by validating assumptions and undertaking scenario and sensitivity analysis. 
• Build an understanding of business performance drivers and relevant market trends, using this knowledge to improve planning tools, reporting processes and decision-support materials.

About You:

• The successful candidate will provide financial analysis, planning support and commercial insight to help inform business decisions. 
• Experience of working with stakeholders across the organisation to assess opportunities, support planning activity and provide clear analysis of performance drivers, risks and potential outcomes.
• Strong business and financial planning background.
• Advanced excel and financial modelling skills.
• Strong data manipulation skills and using data to provide meaningful insight.
