Our client is a small fast-growing technology business based in South Wales providing services to a range of different sectors including finance, legal, real estate, education, and the public sector.
This is a very broad Finance Director remit. The successful candidate reports to the CEO and partners the leadership team to develop and deliver strategy.
The role on the one hand will support the CEO at top table, at Board meetings and with any high-level fundraiser/investor meetings. Also evaluate new market and geographic growth opportunities, ROI analysis regarding investment decisions business development.
On the other hand, the FD will take responsibility for improving and developing the financial control framework and financial reporting framework within the business.
The FD’s remit is responsible for the day-to-day operation, accuracy, and integrity of the financial accounting systems.
The FD will be responsible for shaping and taking ownership of the finance function as the business move into the next stage of growth.
The FD is responsible for producing necessary annual, monthly, and weekly reports, undertaking ad-hoc analysis, all external communications relating to finance and implementing and monitoring financial controls across the business.
As a proficient finance professional, the successful candidate will have the appropriate ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications and industry experience.
The role needs a commercial thinker with strong Excel and platform skills, strong analytical skills, an exceptional attention to detail and an understanding of the key drivers to a company’s profitability.
This role might suit a very hands-on Finance Director who would relish the opportunity to work with a high-growth and ambitious business in a dynamic team, who is very ready to work across, strategic finance, commercial finance, finance operations including accounting and administration.
