Exclusive to Head4talent, we are working with a great organisation who are looking for a Business Planning Accountant. We are looking for a qualified accountant with experience in budgets and cash flows. This role will be a varied and interesting role in a rewarding place to work.
Ensuring the provision of an effective treasury and business planning service, overseeing cash flow reporting.
Develop and maintain an effective Business Plan including stress testing against industry and economic developments. Working on the business planning software to further develop the Corporate Business Plan. Reporting to and liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders presenting to the Board, SMT and other senior stakeholders when required.
Responsible for all aspects of cash management - ensuring sufficient liquidity is maintained to enable the smooth running of the organisation.
Responsible for managing a loan portfolio.
Ensuring delivery of the Corporate plan and Treasury strategy by delivering loan securitisation work and supporting the banking activities, ensuring compliance with all covenants.
Provision of timely and accurate cash flow information in conjunction with the Head of Finance.
Lead the management of cash balances to ensure sufficient liquidity is maintained and investment are made in accordance with policies. This includes monitoring the need to draw on the loan facilities. Advise the Head of Finance and Director of Finance on competitive rates available for short and medium-term cash investments in conjunction with Group policies and ensure funds are appropriately placed.
Preparation of detailed cash flow reporting on a monthly and ad-hoc basis including a detailed cash flow forecast for 24 months. Assist in preparing annual cash flow budgets.
Lead the production and review of the corporate business plan ensuring that it is a valuable business tool for strategic decision making. Preparation of the annual business plan for submission to the Lenders and the Regulators.
Stress testing the Business Plan against industry and economic developments. Working on the business planning software to further develop the Corporate Business Plan.
Managing a loan portfolio including draw downs, repayments, interest and ensuring compliance with all covenants.
Reporting to and liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders presenting to the Board, SMT and other senior stakeholders.
Participate on ad-hoc projects which may be required by the Board and Senior Management Team
Ensure that financial records and information are maintained in line with the Group’s Financial Regulations and Standing Orders, and comply with statutory and legislative requirements.
Participate in the development of all Treasury policies, practice and procedures. Ensure that all financial records are maintained in line with Financial and legislative requirements and that policies and procedures are used effectively.
Ensure that the appropriate controls and procedures are in place for the operational finance systems (including banking systems) and that the ICT provision is developed to maximum effect.
Strategic Financial Management and Control
Develop and implement effective financial and risk management plans that are required to deliver and improve the financial services. Ensure that operational services contribute fully to agreed Corporate objectives .
Lead in the provision of monthly and ad-hoc financial information .
Keep abreast of changes in in financial regulations and legislation.
Leadership and Organisational Development
Supervise, encourage and develop staff within the Finance team to contribute ideas, take the initiative and contribute to future development.
Support delegated decision making . Enable managers to understand and use financial information in the delivery of excellent services.
