The Director of Finance will work closely with the Executive Team to develop an organisation with a culture of high performance which delivers great customer service, is modern and well run and is an amazing place to work.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance and Resources, this role will be responsible for providing a high-quality finance service which is agile and commercial in nature, whilst working within the values, culture and purpose of Valleys to Coast.
Specifically, you will lead the finance team and the finance service plan for Valleys to Coast, being responsible for all aspects of the finance service to internal and external customers and stakeholders, to successfully deliver our Strategic Plan, as part of the Strategic Leadership Team.
The Director of Finance will maintain a high-quality financial reporting function on £30m turnover, assume responsibility for appropriate forecasting as well as leading the Treasury function.
.The role will develop an effective Finance Business Partner service across the business and will create and maintain a culture of financial controls compliance.
Following a restructure within the Finance team, the new Director of Finance will continue to streamline processes and develop the team capability.
You will be a professionally Qualified Accountant with excellent technical finance skills, with experience of creating and motivating high performance teams. You will possess outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
The successful candidate will be a clear thinker, adept at managing multiple priorities and demands. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of success and achievement to date including change and improvement projects.
The successful candidate will be capable of working at pace, using initiative to find creative solutions to problems.
